Lecture Room Setup Instructions

Please request that the lecture room is set up before 4pm the day before lectures exactly as specified below. Please provide the name and full phone number of the individual to contact to check the room. The room will be checked by myself the day before lectures at 4pm to allow time for corrections, not on the morning of the lecture.

1. In-house and Public courses:

Number of Manuals to make = Number of Students + 2.

1 spare and 1 for Instructor to lecture from

2. Email mark@petrophysics.net (+61 416 058 916) the name, phone, mobile and email of individual who will setup the lecture room on the Friday before lectures and who will be available 8-4pm for possible PC projector problems, or a backup projector etc.

3. If paper original were supplied leave the Course Manual Originals with the course manuals in the lecture room.  If files were supplied permanently delete all files on or before the third day of the course, usually Wednesday.

4. A direct PC projector, on a large table at least 100 x 200cm, with space for instructor's manual etc, and with a normal chair.  I do not carry a PC projector.

5. Extension lead for projector

6. Projector screen

 

7. Small PC loudspeaker(s) with a wireless microphone and a PC audio input

8. LARGE WHITEBOARD (1.2 x 0.8m) with 4 erasable pens: Black, Blue Red and Green and Eraser.  A paper flip chart is not required unless a WHITEBOARD is not available

9. Classroom style parallel rows of desks and chairs or boardroom style table if numbers fit.  Each student needs 1.3m x 1.0m (full width) of desk space.  Please do not use narrow tables!  One 2m desk for Instructor, facing class.

10. TALL Bar Stool for instructor

11. Red laser pointer

12. At each student desk place one: Manual, Calculator, Squared paper, Ruler, Pen, 2B Pencil, Eraser & Folded A4 name cards with his/her name

13. Water on table at back of class

14. Sign(s) in hotel lobby directing students to lecture:  (select which)
